AUGUST 2010 MEETING
FEATURED SPEAKER
Join us for our next bi-monthly meeting which is right around the corner August 24.
We are honored to have Michelle Blose, Senior Community Manager of the American Cancer Society as our guest speaker.
Michelle believes this evening’s presentation is important for several reasons. First, the Business Women of Fayette & Coweta supports the Barons’ Ball each year financially and its members should understand how the funds are making a difference in our community. Second, we are fortunate to have an American Cancer Society office in our area that includes a wig room and other services. By spreading the word about ACS services, we can help more people during their cancer journey
Ms. Blose presentation will include:
- The mission of the American Cancer Society
- The programs and services offered by ACS in Coweta & Fayette counties
- Their support for Caregivers
- Events in Coweta & Fayette County
Michelle Blose began her non-profit career at the Share Foundation in Indiana and after two years, Michelle moved on to Junior Achievement of Chicago where she managed fundraising events. After relocating to the Atlanta area in 2006 with her husband, Michelle began working at the American Cancer Society where she managed Relay for Life events and coordinated patient service programs in surrounding counties. After being promoted to Senior Community Manager in 2008, Michelle now manages the Peachtree City office and works with volunteers to plan the annual Cattle Barons’ Ball.
Please plan on joining us for a very special evening.

JUNE 2010 MEETING
FEATURED SPEAKER
Join us for our next bi-monthly meeting which is right around the corner. Be sure to mark your calendars for June 22.
We are honored to have Ellie White-Stevens as our guest speaker.
Get ready to jump start your business.
Ellie’s presentation will be “Blue Chip Branding on a Blue Plate Budget”. She will be discussing key basic marketing principles that every business person should know. These principles save money and make for better business. Most businesswomen know their specialty, but not necessarily the marketing basics.
Ellie White-Stevens, Marketing Guru, has over a decade of experience in advertising, sales, marketing and corporate communications. When Ellie was ten-years old she was told she had “no tact.” She has turned that into a career of telling it like it is. A Calvin graduate in communications, Ellie worked with non-profits, health care and the media on marketing. She has helped hundreds of clients with logos, corporate identity, advertising and public relations campaigns. Ellie was trained to sing opera, but brings diva-style only when appropriate. She lives in Sharpsburg, Georgia with her stellar-smart sons and her guitar-wielding husband Matt.

APRIL 2010 MEETING
FEATURED SPEAKER
Mark your calendars for our bi-monthly meeting on April 27.
We are honored to have Joyce Beverly of the Fayette Women magazine as our guest speaker.
She plans to talk to us about how “Every one of us has a story” and how we can learn from each other’s stories, particularly as women in business.
Joyce Beverly is a passionate community journalist, having spent more than 30 years working for community publications. She owned her hometown newspaper for 11 years, and now works with her husband who publishes The Citizen newspapers in Fayette and Coweta counties.
Since 2002, she has been publisher of Fayette Woman. She has been responsible for making payroll for 20 years, all while keeping kids fed, clothed and educated, and patching roofs as necessary. She is intimate with the joys and agonies that are associated with working for you …and she would not trade it for anything.
