Patti and Wendy,
I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to know the two of you and to be able to call you my friends! I am so excited about the future for BWFC and want to thank you so much for this wonderful organization and the wonderful members that I am having a chance to get to know… CONGRATULATIONS again!
Where would we be without Patti and Wendy in this group?? You two are full of energy and passion and drive all of us to be our best. Jalon, your introduction for this award was breathtaking! The next year will be even better! Cheers!
Sharing vision, purpose and passion can make a huge difference in our world! Thanks Jalon for the awesome recognition and Wendy and Patti for making this group possible. Hugs to all.
Wow, I am so blessed to be part of a great organization. Thanks so much for the kind words. Your presentation was so touching, Jalon. It means so much to me. Without the support of such wonderful, giving women, none of this is possible. Thanks for all that you do, ladies! You are the best!
Happy Easter Everyone! It’s going to be a wonderful day-I’m going to be baptized as a recommitment to my faith at the 11:00 service at Heritage Christian Church. If you are looking for a church to visit on Easter come join us.
Blessings to you all for being such a great group.
Food for thought: Not my words, yet interesting…Rabbits and eggs are both symbols of the fertility goddess Eostre/Easter/Ishtar/Ostara. Her symbol is also the moon, in which some cultures see a rabbit instead of a face. Eggs also symbolize the moon and are the ultimate symbol of creation and new life. The basket is a symbol of the womb in which this new life is carried.
There is a lovely legend about the moon goddess Eostre, in which she came upon a dying bird. To save its life, she turned it into a rabbit, her strongest symbol. It lived but continued to lay eggs. In gratitude for its life, the rabbit gives her some of the eggs every year.
The feast day is pagan and was widely celebrated way before the time of Jesus. Like pretty much all holidays, it was adopted by Christians to help get more converts. However, since the point is to celebrate new life and the hope of continuance, Christian symbols of a Resurrection day and the old pagan symbols mean the same thing. Just like Christmas, we are all celebrating the same thing, just using different symbols.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays, the outside of the home is just starting to awaken from a long winter’s nap and the inside carries wonderful smells of homemade food and a love filled atmosphere. It is a time for our family to gather – which is always my favorite time! And of course, we always have a VERY competitive round or two of an Easter Egg Hunt… with interesting surprises tucked inside those classic multi-colored plastic eggs.
Easter is a time to reflex and absorb all of your family’s and your God’s love.
I wish all of you a very Happy Easter with plenty of love, family, and joy.
I am so excited about this upcoming event. We are in the planning stages and expect this to be an incredible fundraising event that will benefit so many. We have all been touched by the terrible disease known as cancer. Please share this event with everyone you know. We would like to raise the money to benefit the Women’s Support Group at the Wellness Center. There is great peace in knowing that there is such a support facility being built right in our own backyard. Let’s step us and support this wonderful facility and the programs that will make such a difference in the lives of those battling cancer and their family members.
Well said, Ellie…. and thank you!
This organization never ceases to amazing me…
it’s wonderful membership, the brilliant and giving business women of this community…
it’s powerful energy and life that has taken on a persona of its own…
it’s love and care that has been given to so many others in the community.
Ladies, only in our second year, and look where we have been and where we are going.
I am humbled and my virtual hat is also tipped.
Ellie,
Thank YOU for taking the time to state so wonderfully what I’m sure most of us feel. I especially want to thank the board for all they’ve done to get us off to such a fast start.
Thanks, Jalon. You know, we could all stay home and just take care of our families and our work–and that would be a lot to do. But in this organization, the women do that little bit extra that makes the whole world better for everyone.
Ellie, you bring a tear to my eye. Our work is so important and we have to remember the benefits of freedom, freedom from abuse, freedom from cancer and the freedom to be whatever we want to be as women!! It truly is an Independence Day Celebration.
” Women Hold Up Half the Sky” and what a wonderful sky we hold up.. here in the good ole USA!
Im proud to be an American Woman and proud to be a part of this great organization.
God Bless the USA and all of my new friends at BWFCC.
Thank you Nancy and Peggy. And welcome to our group, Victoria. We are the salt of the earth that makes up the land of the free.
Perfect! Ellie, thanks for sharing your gifts in so many ways. Thank you all! Celebrating Freedom today & everyday!
God Bless America Land that I Love, Stand Beside Her and Guide; how wonderful to know we are “One Nation Under God, Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for All”.Sometimes the vicitms of domestic violence don’t feel the justice. As a part of this awesome incredible group of Business Women, I know and understand your compassion through your making our house a home.
I am so excited about the O Christmas Tea! It is going to be a wonderful time!

Thank you to Dr. Dhruva for sharing with us during his personal time. I think we all need to be aware of being heart healthy. We need to share the news to all women about having annual physicals and listening to their bodies. Please encourage for friends and family to pay attention and have themselves checked out.
I’m so excited about this event! Thank you for adding the $300 sponsorship level that has 2 tickets to the event. I’ll see you all on April 14th! Peggy
