Because it’s nearly Independence Day, it seems appropriate to tip my virtual hat to the very real women who have made a huge difference this year.
Because of you, women who are hurting because of the bruises and heart- stains of domestic violence have been given a new outlook and a better place to live.
Because of you, women who are struggling with their diagnosis of cancer will find free support groups and understanding.
Because of you, women have been able to gather, laugh and plan for better business. And together, we’re all standing and learning to be better citizens of this community and this country.
God bless America, and God bless you, because you’re the best America has.

Thanks, Jalon. You know, we could all stay home and just take care of our families and our work–and that would be a lot to do. But in this organization, the women do that little bit extra that makes the whole world better for everyone.
Ellie, you bring a tear to my eye. Our work is so important and we have to remember the benefits of freedom, freedom from abuse,freedom from cancer and the freedom to be whatever we want to be as women!! It truly is an Independence Day Celebration.
